The City of Tampa’s Foundation for Tampa’s Neighborhoods Design Build project includes water, wastewater, stormwater, and transportation improvements in multiple neighborhoods within the city’s limits as part of the Transforming Tampa’s Tomorrow initiative. These improvements may cause temporary inconveniences while construction activities are being performed. The city and their contractor are committed to minimizing these impacts and providing citizens with sustainable solutions that will enhance the quality of life for all residents.

Improvements planned for East Tampa

  • Wastewater improvements to East Tampa will include the rehabilitation of existing gravity sewers and installation of new gravity sewers, including house connections where applicable.
  • Water improvements will include the replacement of water distribution pipelines.
  • Transportation activities in East Tampa will include the resurfacing of some neighborhood roads, the addition of traffic calming elements, and the construction of additional sidewalks to ensure neighborhood connectivity.

Design & Construction Schedule

  • Design: Fall 2020 – Winter 2022
  • Construction: Spring 2022 – Summer 2026
